The best day of a dryer's Life

The Best day of OUR Life was the day that we got a dryer ...FOR FREE, How you wonder, a full blessing from God that how!
William and I started our week helping our dear freinds who attened our church move into their new home, in thier new house was a washer and a dryer, but they had their own set, so out of the clear blue we were offered the other set, not for a penny.
It is beautiful, I know how can someone be so excited about a flippen dryer right? Well has you have read in the past, my old one was eating our clothes, and very very loud, This one is quite, fast and very happy to be here! I just know it!!

Not my choice of drink

For the past few days this is has not been my choice of a nice warm drink to warm the body.
All I have heard was "Drink hot tea":. :"Gargle with warm salt water" In responce I would say "O bite me you dont have to drink it"
As I wake up in the morning I feel like my head is going to explode , my nose is as stuffed as a turkey, my taste buds are skorched from so many hot teas, my ears are plugged ....Horrible just horibble!
I hate, hate ,hate, being sick, I am not the kind of person, who likes to sit and sulk all day in bed, I like to be able to fly out of bed, in the morning, and start me daily tasks, have a nice cup of whatever, and enjoy the day!
My days are starting out with the shower being my Best Friend because of the steam, a good nose blowing foe like 10 min. it's not pretty, I wake up the whole house. Start off with a nasty cup of lemon tea. Gross, gross, Gross.

The Story of the Candy Cane
Legend has it that in the 18th Century somewhere in Europe any public display of Christianity was forbidden. No crosses or Bibles were allowed and the Christians were greatly oppressed. One old man, a candy maker by profession, was particularly distressed by this. He loved the Lord with all of his heart and couldn't stand to not share that love with the world. His heart especially went out to the children when Christmas drew near and no one was allowed to have a nativity scene (or crèche`) on display in their homes. He prayed for God to show him some way to make Christmas gifts for the children which would teach them the story of Christ.
The answer was the candy cane.

The candy cane was in the shape of a shepherd"s staff to show them Jesus is our Shepherd and we are His flock. A sheep follows his own shepherd, knows his voice, and trusts him and knows that he is totally safe with him. The sheep will follow no other shepherd but their own. This is how we are to be with Jesus if we truly follow Him ( John 10:11; Psalm 23:1; Isaiah 40:11) Upside down the candy cane was a "J", the first letter of Jesus' name. ( Luke 1:31) It was made of hard candy to remind us that Christ is the rock of our salvation. The wide red stripes on the candy cane were to represent the blood He shed on the cross for each one of us so that we can have eternal life through Him. He redeems us and cleanses us with His shed blood - the only thing that can wash away our sin. ( Luke 22:20) . The white stripes on a candy cane represented the virgin birth, sinless life and purity of our Lord. He is the only human being who ever lived on this earth who never committed a single sin.

Even though He was tempted just as we are, He never sinned. ( I Peter: 22) The three narrow red stripes on candy canes symbolized that by His stripes, or wounds, we are healed and the Trinity - the Father, Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit. Before the crucifixion Jesus was beaten; the crown of thorns was placed on His head; His back was raw from the whip. We are healed by those wounds. He bore our sorrows and by His stripes we are healed. ( Isaiah 53:3) The flavoring in the candy cane was peppermint, which is similar to hyssop. Hyssop is of the mint family and was used in Old Testament times for purification and sacrifice just as Jesus sacrificed His life for ours. ( John 19:29; Psalm 51:7) The old candy maker told them that when we break our candy cane it reminds us that Jesus' body was broken for us. When we have communion it is a reminder of what He did for us. ( I Cor. 11:24)

If we share our candy cane and give some to someone else in love because we want to, it represents that same love of Jesus because He is to be shared with one another in love. ( I John 4:7,8) God gave Himself to us when He sent Jesus. He loved us so much He wants us to spend eternal life with Him... which we can do if we accept Jesus in our hearts as Savior and Lord. ( John 1:12; John 3:3,16) Some people believe this story of the candy cane is just a legend. Others believe it really happened. We do not know for sure exactly how the candy cane was invented, but there is one thing for certain... it is an excellent picture of Christ and His love for you.

Christmas Past

When I was little, everything was about Christmas, growing up in a Spanish heritage family, made the holiday extra special.
I can remember as a little girl watching as the holiday came near, how my family would do certain things as our tradition, my Aunt Anna would get the big box of Christmas decorations out and do the tree herself, while my other Aunt and I watched, and knowing that the same spot every year on our coffe table was where the gingerbread house would sit with a lit little candle.
My Grandma would be upstairs, making and a baking away, those are the kind of scents that we never loose around this time of year.
I remeber waking up the next morning and wanting to rip open the presents, but my Popo would make us wait until we had all eaten breakfast, there were times that he would make us sweat a little bit longer,
I remeber one year when I was very very little I had recieved clothes I was so disappionted, now that seems to be all I want !
Now 25 years later I have nothing but strong memories and a little sadness in my heart, but greatfullness fully over takes me, this year to me really isnt about recieving, I really dont care if I get nothing, I still will be happy just to know that what I have is my family starting from my Popo all the way down to my lil brother.
The ride down memory lane is only a memory now, but I'm glad that I still have it, to look back on and start the same kind of things with my family.

A is for Apple

Im sure you have heard of that saying" An apple a day keeps the doctor away" as much as we say that apples have another meaning here at my house, my kitchen is flooded with Apples.
This is the saying that goes on here..."An Apple a day makes mamas kitcken more of a happier place and she will not have it any other way"
If I have things in my kitchen hat I couldn't find with apples on it then I buy it red.... which reminds me I need to purchase a red toaster....I even buy Apple smelling dishsoap, apple counter cleansers(sometimes) and I have used the Febreeze Apples and Cinnomon air freshner, I can't get enough of the Apple stuff, I have been known to search all day on ebay to expand my collection.
Todays a beautiful Day so have an Apple!

I am every women

I am every women.....
On a typical Saturday I wake up to a housse where a 5 and 2 year old rule the house with thier toysna d such, but I dont mind... its in my mother contract...... I wake up around 7:00 am do my daily devotionals , and comuter stuff then Im off to a load of very quite laundry, so the kids can sleep for a little while longer,a nd so my husband can really evjoy his days off not having to get up at the crack of dawn.
While the laundry is in process of getting to be smaller , I do a lap around the living room, clea, put away and mop the kitchen floor...... to me the kitchen has to be the cleanest room of all .
Usually by this time my kids are getting up, with a bed head dad who wants his coffe made so he can have about 2 cups, in order to be totallt awake.......I usually have to beg the kids if they will eat breakfast, which is usually won by the kids until lunch time, we are not avide breakfast people, unless we got some cold pizza from the night before.....
And last but not least when all is said and down laundry is folded and put away, the dish washer is humming itself clean and the kitchen is so clean not a crum is in sight, the dinner was a success, which it usually is.(thanks to my wonderful two aunts and beautiful grandmother who taught me how to make just about everything) we all sit down to have a nice piece of ym dessert...

This isnt the most exciting life , but its my life and I Love it, I have a home, husband, family and soul responsibility of my house hold.....What more could a women ask for?

The Bee Movie

This was by far the cutiest, most funniest movie ......my baby fell asleep, so the whole family got to enjoy the movie......Can you say D>V>D.caue we are so getting it!!!!
