A YEAR IN REVIEW........be not forgotten

This year so many wonderful and terrific things happened this year that they will forever be memories in our mind and hearts.

I want to always call out to my God and Thank him for my family.....Thank God for the life that I live for him and for him dieing on the cross for me.
This Year began with me turning 26 in January, with 9 days later my wedding anniversary.
February: my Hubby and I and my sister went and saw Jeremy Camp in concert.....amazing.
March :the 6 of us headed out on our first vacation ever to Disneyland, we were hooked.
April: Mine and and my younger sister have our younger brother training for the marines.
May: Our little Gabriel turns a whopping 3...still has Blondie hair.
June :The 6 of us are pretty much spending every day in our pool due to the Hot Arizona weather.
July: My sweet sister has a rainy 22ND birthday.
August: My first born wonderful son Aidan started Kindergarten..and yes I cried my eyes out.
September: The 6 of us take another trip to Disneyland...I told you we were hooked.
October: We carved our pumpkins and enjoyed Halloween at church.
November :Had a quite calm and nice family dinner.
December: Christmas came and went and we had our very first snow fall ever!!
This next coming year, all I want is to have my walk to be closer to God, and to show my children the same walk, to build my marriage more in the eyes and direction of God.

TARDY TUESDAY

I found this in a old book, this was in the year of the 50's!
When I refound another magazine that had the same thing I took the test, and now a days a mother would make $1, 024.00 a week...gasp.and gasp some more.
People always tell me "How nice it is for you to be able to stay home". Yes I am very lucky but it is never a picinic in the park, like some might seem.

I lvoe my life, I never imagined it this way, but I love it.....
I knew I wanted to be a wife, but when I was younger I didnt see me down this road, but God never misleads his children.

I am trying to get mt year in review by tomarrow!!

I have alot of goals to write downa nd pray over for the New Year.

Have a blessed Day!

WEEKEND REVIEW

Church performance, Was last Sunday Morning(I know I am a little behind) and my Addy did so wonderful...even though we really couldnt hear them!
The day after Christmas, we got snow...SNOW can you believe it, I pray and fasted for this and my wondeful father blessed us with SNOW!!

Christmas Morning...it took my sister and I hours beyond hours to wrap all the presents, and it took like 10 minutes for everyone to get done unwrapping them, Christmas started at 7am and it wasnt the kids who woke us up it was the other way around.

Christmas Eve...Santa unloading the good's.

Part of the family minus Aidan who was watching a movie when the picture was taken...Gabriel has the most puckered lips I have ever seen.
All in all it was a wonderful Christmas, we how ever are doing (trying) things differently next year, maybe California??? Let's try Disneyland on for size and maybe lego land? What is the point of buying the kids things that within days or even hours are broken or they lost interest? Family is more important, being together as a family doing things together as a family.
But it is just a thought out in the air for now.....God may have other plan's for us though!!!

UNTO TO US

Good Morning everyone, I really hope everyone of you had a wonderful Christmas! It is hard to believe that it came and now it is gone.....my Christmas was wonderful not because of presents, for our weather, here in Arizona it is always Sunny and bright on Christmas...blah!! I had been praying for beautiful cold winter weather.....Ask and you shall recieve!!! And that I did!!!! It was dark, cloudy, cold, and windy with a little slush/rain most of the day!! What could be better then to wake up and Thank God for the beautiful day!!! Christmas here started at about 7 int he morning and it wasn't the kids who were up early more like me! I couldn't sleep the night before because I was so excited I felt like a kid again!!! Once I told them Santa came, they shot out like a bullet!!To make a long story short Christmas couldn't have been better I have a mess to clean up today that is going to take an army....but it is just what happens with 2 boys and new toys!
Yesterday afternoon, while my ham was in the oven, we turned all the Christmas T.V. off, and sat the boys down and read then Luke 2! Now here in our family, we let the boys believe in Santa (I don't really think in the harm) but he are sure to put Jesus into the moral too, now to some they may scratch their heads but hey my kids get it!
Aidan: "Mama how does Santa know everyone about us"?
ME: Well he doesn't really know alot about us, but Jesus does and he tells Santa where to go"?
Aidan:"So Jesus tells Santa where to go?"
ME: "More or less, before Santa leaves the elves pray over him for protection".
and so on!!!! But the moral of the conversation Aidan understands that yes Santa may bring presents, but Jesus is all about Christmas!!
Have a Blessed day............I really need to down load my camera too I promised some pictures!! Well then it looks like I have tomorrows post!!!

STARTING IN THE YEAR 2009

Good day folks,
Today's post was sub post to be about Aidan's performance the other night, but my heart took a different turn and I am going to go with this post.

My sister and I are very faithful viewer's of Jon and Kate plus 8 every Monday, usually we miss it, but never fear I have DVR and we will watch it together Tuesday morning. The most recent episode on Monday, my heart and my sister's.... were broken after the show was over a tear or few were shed.

Then it spoke to me "Get involved".
They didn't do it for publicity but more for themselves.
They went and donated their time and love to the children at St. Jude's Hospital.
So starting this New Year that God will give us, there are no resolutions going to be made, but more of a challenge and a goal. Starting from January 1- December 1 I want money to raise and donated to the St. Jude's fund! Next Christmas it is all about giving to other's we have everything and more then what we need, and we are lucky, but there are family's out there going through fear, and hurt and sadness I am not saying that just because Marisa is going to do something everything will be different, We do not want a pat on the back for it, this is something that I want to do........I need to do this. You are all more then welcome to join and start in also, here is the web site to get acquainted with.

Please pray for these children and family's..............My God is BIGGER then any form of cancer or sickness!

DEATH = CELEBRATION

Today was our Brother in Christ Dennis' funeral.
It was a sad day only because of his family that he left behind.
When it was almost time to close the casket, his wife went to say her final farewell and hugged him, my heart stopped for a minute I couldn't breathe, tears stung my eye's. While other family member's were trying to calm her down she was pleading with them "Wait"...."Wait"......she finally let go, and the casket closed.

During the sermon our Pastor spoke about him and how Dennis loved God, I was jealous.
Dennis is with Jesus........could you imagine how wonderful he must be right now this very minute? Jesus......we cry out to him when we need him but Dennis cried out because he is there with him in tears of joy, getting to hold our Savior...walk on those street's of gold.

I left our church a little quite today.....sad......happy......at peace.....strong.....
Knowing that yes life does go on....how privilege we still our to have our life, but how lucky to be in our Savior's presence as Dennis is.

This is from Dennis' program right on the front page.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalms 116:15

WEEKEND REVIEW

This weekend we had our annuel light parade........it lasted about 1 hour and it was freezing!
after the light parade we have a tradition of going house hunting to see the lights, this one was my favorite, I had to take a picture of it...little did I see the home owner waitong for me to take the picture so he could turn off the house (blush blush)

Back to the floats, our church was in there and it was awesome some where in here one of the pictures sits, they had the live nativity scene with a movie screen in the back playing the opening of the "Nativity Story"

here is proof that we were freezing, by the time we left, feet were frozen ,belly's were hungry, and it was time to go he had to make up some potty breaks that we over looked due to the occasion.

Awe yes here it is I know it wasn't the best of pictures but what can I say I am a house wife and a mother not a photographer.

SALAS SATURDAYS

This happened last Saturday, I know it's rather tardy, but I finally got around to posting them. Here is Safford Arizona we have the most beautiful mountains, that we call Mount Graham. We were originally going up there because of the snow, but once we got there we realized the snow was much to high, so we did a mini hiking trip( what is it with me and hiking now?? I don't hike)
With this little waterfall I had to make sure Aidan and Gabriel didn't make a dive for it, because I know they wanted to, I could see it in their eye's that little twinkle of "I am going to to just put my foot in it when mom isn't looking) William and Gabriel were like 100 feet in front of me because let's face it, I am a straggler, but my sweet son Aidan patiently waits for me to join them....but this time my cheeks are pinks, I am sweating a little and my nose is running like there ain't no tomorrow....and I am burning, my lungs are burning!

Here are all the men in my life that I am grateful enough to wake for to everyday and be devoted to. Gabriel for some reason decided that he want to taste the wood? I don't know what he was doing but before I had a chance to tell him to put it down, I notice that he did this int he picture.

IS IT ME...OR DOES SICKNESS LIKE MY HOUSE?

Good day to everyone, just when I thought about not blogging(only because we don;t really have alot going on here) I couldn't leave my bloggy with out a post today. The devil is trying to get me down with this..sickness, early in the morning while my hubby is creeping in to the house(because he works graveyards) I open my eyes Thank God for this day and I take my first swallow.

ME: "Honey I feel as if I am swallowing a pack of nails"
William: "Want me to pray over you"?
ME:Shacking my head, because I just don't want to bother talking....after he lay's his hands on me and prays I noticed a difference in my throat, oh the wonderful healing power of God.

How lucky are we as Christian's to call on God with prayer, and because we believe in him, trust him, and have faith in him...he heals us......the bible clearly state's by HIS stripe's we ARE HEALED.

I want to post this more in a prayer chain matter, there is a man in our church who is dieing of cancer...to make a long story short the kemo he was getting didn't help the cancer spread, he's on hospice, and the doctor's are giving him a matter of week's to day's. Now my God is bigger then this cancer.....The day that Dennis found out he had cancer instead of getting mad at God he praised God saying "He is still on the throne".

Now I know Satan is trying to fill this family with fear....doubt...unbelief...right now as Christians we need to bond together with the power of prayer. Matthew 8:17 says "He took our infirmities and carried our diseases."

John 16:33- I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have over come the world.

My little sniffle seems so little to what Dennis is going through, but I know that God will conquer in the endfor any sickness and disease.

I Love my God!
How Great is our God.

THE SHOPPING IS SO DONE

This last Friday my husband and I did the inevitable, we went to Black Friday, here at our local Wal-mart. He went first to get the impossible things I mean the things that I know I probably didn't have a chance getting he came back with one thing.....the handheld leapster for only 30 bucks.
I went next at around 5:30 and it was a mad house, but was with me because I got in and out with in an hour and a half and I am proud to say I AM TOTALLY DONE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING.

Go ahead get jealous......it's alright!
This year I started about a month early, like with the little things stocking stuffer's are already bought, and the wrapping paper...........Question why on earth do people spend a fortune on wrapping paper, when it is paper that gets ripped?
I hope I didn't offend anyone, but come on......wait I better stop and confess something I was going to buy the Christmas Story wrapping paper, you know the one with Ralphy...but I snapped out of it.............OK well I am trying to snap out of it!!

Already the inside of my house looks like a Christmas card and I love it, I may do the same with the house on the outside, but then there is the whole getting on the ladder thing, yes my husband should do it, but i might have a fit because i want to see what it looks like from the roof and then once I do I might faint because I am and I am not afraid of heights, it's just an ordeal that I am questioning and I think I keep rambling on and on because I am avoiding my house work. So I must stop here and wish everyone a wonderful day.

ONE OF MY GOOD READS

Aside from my bible reading this is the other book that I love to read over and over again, I purchased it on amazon( just in case you wanted one too Ernestine ;) )I have said it time and time again before I was so born in the wrong era, people think that I am crazy for the things that I can do at my young(yeah right) age. My mother in law can't believe at the age that I am (are you dying to know how old I am ?) I can cook huge meals (like Thanksgiving) make tortillas(it's the Spanish blood in me) bake from scratch, and manage a family.
What can I say I have had some pretty good teachers in my time. My husband and kids do not leave the house with any wrinkle on their clothes, creases in the pants and shirts, white shoes are washed weekly. As are their rooms and every Saturday before any play gets done the whole house gets a refreshing, wonderful clean.
My kids do bath/shower daily, and I am the mother that says clean behind your ears!

When my husband comes home from work, he has a meal at the table waiting for him, or if he works graveyards that week he is the envy at work for the meals he takes! Example: Meatloaf, mash potatoes, string beans, rolls, and maybe a sweet!

There are times that I get tired yes and we do order out, but a majority of the time family is number one in the Salas house and we are in the year of 2008 but here things are ran like it's 1956, except I am not tooth pick skinny and I don't wear heels and a dress.
And by the way...........I am 26!!!
