THE SHOPPING IS SO DONE

This last Friday my husband and I did the inevitable, we went to Black Friday, here at our local Wal-mart. He went first to get the impossible things I mean the things that I know I probably didn't have a chance getting he came back with one thing.....the handheld leapster for only 30 bucks.
I went next at around 5:30 and it was a mad house, but was with me because I got in and out with in an hour and a half and I am proud to say I AM TOTALLY DONE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING.

Go ahead get jealous......it's alright!
This year I started about a month early, like with the little things stocking stuffer's are already bought, and the wrapping paper...........Question why on earth do people spend a fortune on wrapping paper, when it is paper that gets ripped?
I hope I didn't offend anyone, but come on......wait I better stop and confess something I was going to buy the Christmas Story wrapping paper, you know the one with Ralphy...but I snapped out of it.............OK well I am trying to snap out of it!!

Already the inside of my house looks like a Christmas card and I love it, I may do the same with the house on the outside, but then there is the whole getting on the ladder thing, yes my husband should do it, but i might have a fit because i want to see what it looks like from the roof and then once I do I might faint because I am and I am not afraid of heights, it's just an ordeal that I am questioning and I think I keep rambling on and on because I am avoiding my house work. So I must stop here and wish everyone a wonderful day.

ONE OF MY GOOD READS

Aside from my bible reading this is the other book that I love to read over and over again, I purchased it on amazon( just in case you wanted one too Ernestine ;) )I have said it time and time again before I was so born in the wrong era, people think that I am crazy for the things that I can do at my young(yeah right) age. My mother in law can't believe at the age that I am (are you dying to know how old I am ?) I can cook huge meals (like Thanksgiving) make tortillas(it's the Spanish blood in me) bake from scratch, and manage a family.
What can I say I have had some pretty good teachers in my time. My husband and kids do not leave the house with any wrinkle on their clothes, creases in the pants and shirts, white shoes are washed weekly. As are their rooms and every Saturday before any play gets done the whole house gets a refreshing, wonderful clean.
My kids do bath/shower daily, and I am the mother that says clean behind your ears!

When my husband comes home from work, he has a meal at the table waiting for him, or if he works graveyards that week he is the envy at work for the meals he takes! Example: Meatloaf, mash potatoes, string beans, rolls, and maybe a sweet!

There are times that I get tired yes and we do order out, but a majority of the time family is number one in the Salas house and we are in the year of 2008 but here things are ran like it's 1956, except I am not tooth pick skinny and I don't wear heels and a dress.
And by the way...........I am 26!!!

THE HOUSE TURNED INTO CHRISTMAS

Christmas has finally hit the Salas house. Every picture I took Aidan had to be in....I don't mind much because he is a cutie pie.
Daddy putting the star on the tree the final touch.

Once it is done...I think it needs more ornaments

Some new additions

My nativity scene, which I had to repeat so it was tatooed in their minds not to touch!

IT'S AN OLD POST.....BUT I HAVE TO POST IT

Thanksgiving went fairly smooth, the night before I baked away.....while Gabriel "helped" doing whatever he was doing!
That day was the most beautiful day to me it was dark cloudy and raining, to us that was the perfect day to have Thanksgiving on! My back yard was covered with leaves from the storm the night before.

To finish off the night my sister was over so we did our gingerbread houses, it was to be for the kids to do but the adults ended doing them anyway, my husband and I did the boy's, which turned into them gettingmad at us because we finished it.......go figure!

Here is my sister, not feeling 100% better but she was a trooper, and came along to join in, she neded up doing her daughter's house too!

SOME SICKNESS AND THEN TOMARROW

Last night at our church party was great....I love to be among my "church family"....there is nothing more satisfying then to be with wonderful godly people. This isn't a post that has 1000 things I am grateful for though there are many things that I am,no this is what I am going to do I have met some wonderful women here on the the blog world, so I am just going to let a window of my life open out to you.
I am Thankful everyday that I am a Christian.....the devil tries to make me feel otherwise, but now I have the strength from God to rebuke him and move on, if I was in the world, he would have had be at the first bate. I am Thankful that my husband is saved and a wonderful man at that. I am Thankful that I have two boys that are healthy, active, and have an understanding about the way we live according to God. I am Thankful to my God, for EVERYTHING that he has done in the Salas family house hold..........because trust me we are a testimony in it's self. This woman here is William's sister....she passed away unexpectedly in April, she was very young, lived far from the family, and her lifestyle was different from ours. To this day no one knows how or why she died. I am Thankful that I have a sister, who is my Best Friend, we call each other about 10 or more times a day, we shop together, we are inseparable, and I love her dearly. I am Thankful that she is saved, and is so in love with God, that she beams with inner beauty. I am Thankful to be her Older Sister and try to protect her when I can, though she is 22 and doesn't need my protection, because she is made of steel. She has grown into the most amazing woman and mother of God. Though she is a single mother she never gets mad at God, she knows that God has plan for her life, and leaves it at that.
With Thanksgiving being tomorrow my sister is very sick, please pray for her to be able to enjoy Thanksgiving with us. I wish you all a wonder and Happy Thanksgiving, I will post sometime on Friday or Saturday.

WE ARE "THAT" FAMILY WHO PRAYS TOGETHER

I DON'T DO COFFEE...BUT I NEED A JUMP START

I really really need a jump start this morning, I woke up did my bible reading and then it stopped...literally stopped............my motivation. Tonight is the night we have our Church Thanksgiving feast and I still have no clue what to make for it. I have a heaping pile of laundry in the wash room waiting for me I have rooms that need to be cleaned and guinea pigs that need tending to and a 3 yr. old who at times gets hungry and I just can't seem to move away from my room. It's the weather, I woke up this morning to let Sugar out and you know what I saw....black thick clouds, now this weather by far is the weather that makes me beam and do a little dance for joy....but then it also brings out my lazy colors and that turns into wanting to stay in bed and watch a good movie(Which by the way I totally have on my DVR...Samantha All American Girl, waiting for me).
Like right now I am debating on actually getting up and doing something, it is not in my nature to sit around and be lazy.....gasp..........me lazy.............I won't allow it, besides I have to go get Aidan at 12 anyway, I can't be lazy!!
I better go hit my pantry and recipes to find what to take to church tonight.

I so had to post this..............it's hilarious...........

WEEKEND REVIEW

To start the weekend off I made some cinnamon rolls to keep the belly warm and cozy, for the cold weather that finally decided to come to Arizona! They were just seething in frosting! The boys decided to protest and not get out of bed, because mom and dads bed felt way to warm to get out of, Gabriel decided to make a dramatic expression.........and scene!!
My little Sugar got a sweater, she is in so need of one, it's a little chilly in the morning's when she has to go tinkle.....but it doesn't end there............I went to Wal-mart and I also purchased some .....pj's, yes pj's she is a very spoiled little girl, she sleeps with the kids or us and she never ever sleeps on the floor or outside! I mean look at that little face, could you throw that cutie out in the cold? Didn't think so!!

Here is Aidan protesting also.............Give Peace.............Don't make me get out of bed!

Here is Aidan's little Turkey that he made in Sunday School.........I just adore it, I made sure not to let Gabriel get near it thinking that he would make the eyes fall off.......well am eye did fall off, but it was Aidan, he felt terrible about it he was afraid that the Turkey wasn't going to be able to see Thanksgiving! It's alright my son.......Mom can fix that right up!
