Easter a few days later

This is where the egg meets the end, after all our hard work with dying the eggs, we do about 3 egg hunts and then move on down to playing baseball with them......it's tradition!!! Let me back up a bit....... Pre egg breaking......Here we have the kids outside on the beautiful Sunday afternoon coming home from church, eating a yummy lunch and dessert, the kids have seen and shared what they all received in their baskets and are ready for the mighty hunt.

Family picture of us doing the egg dying.....a bad one may I add, Hubby has his eyes closed, Gabriel has chocolate pie on his shirt, Aidan looks weird and I have been baking all day leading up to not wearing very much makeup.......like our family the picture isn't perfect but we are happy!

Here we all are in with our game face on and determined to have a nice non fighting egg dyeing time......we only had 2 melt downs......Gabriel of course and Christina ended up with the most colorful fingers.

And here you go folks a peek at the eggs at their best.....fast forward to the first picture.........

To where the egg meets the end!

It's Simply Homemade.....

I have a bug.....no nothing like a sick bug or a tick or anything like that. The bug that I have is a homemade bug...yes and as odd as that sounds it's true. We are a small family of four and my Hubby is the provider......we are in no way poor but I am in control of all the money. Though I must admit there are times I go and blow money on something totally "chick needed" but I am a wife and it's in the "Stay at home Mother's Contact".

Any whooser, back to what I was saying the homemade bug, about 50% of my house hold items are homemade. I make our own body soap.....(have you seen the prices for body wash at Walmart? I tell you every week when I go the prices get higher,).I have now just recently made my own laundry soap and fabric softer. I like to thing of myself as "FRUGAL".

The prices for things are outrageous, it's crazy, with my own homemade things it saves us at least 50 dollars a month easy!

I am telling you it is the best thing ever I make this huge 5 gallon of laundry soap. To where I can use it for 3 months unlike the one I would have to buy weekly at Walmart that wouldn't even last me 2 weeks. To some I may sound cheap......that is not the case, some people can't believe that we have NO credit cards, we never buy anything unless with cash or or debit cards.

See it is just smart thinking!

Am I right?

Phone Busters

I have the 2 most active boys I know of......
Half the time when they are together they don't even know me, they run throughout house screaming/chasing each other or fighting which ever comes first.

but right when that phone rings, and I am on it they all of a sudden know me, or need me, or are calling for me, I usually (always) have to motion with my finger to my mouth for them to hush up.

Aidan leaves with a "How dare you tell me that"
With Gabriel its more forward." Fine I'm outta here"

But Once I get off the phone and ask them what they need..........nothing once again they are with each other and it's like...

"Mom who again"

A couple days later

Here we are a couple days after surgery with everyone finally recovered from tiredness or stress and all Thanks to God is well!

Wednesday morning started out early with Gabriel and myself heading to the hospital.
I had to put the hospital gown on him and completely refused........literally with tears and all, the nurse gave him something to make him a little loopy/sluggish, but that only seem to make him act a little on the loopy/drunk side I hate to say it but it was kind of funny.

Once surgery time came I was more a mess then Gabriel he let the anesthesiologist take him back to the surgery room with no problems Gabriel must have trusted the guy, because he never goes to anyone. What a relief!!

Once surgery was over, there our little baby laid in recovery with his poor little body wrapped all in blankets completely zonked out........now i know everything that happened my God was right there, the devil tried all night long the night before to fill me with fear.........and filled I was getting.

But once the surgery was over I just know God was there with Gabriel.
Today is a new day but for the past few Gabriel is doing great, same day he was up and about ready to take on anything, there is no swelling, no complaining of pain, but best of all my God was there 100% of the way, I love what the bible says "Never will I leave you ,Never will I forsake you".
