FAMILY WORSHIP

Passage: Joshua 24:14-15

While the Bible doesn't detail exactly how, it does admonish us to teach our children about God. There seem to so be two basic approaches to family worship.
There is the "appointment" approach. Families set a given time and place to meet together for an organized time of study and sharing. This method works because it weaves worship into the schedule of the family so that it isn't forgotten or ignored. Whether coupled with breakfast, dinner or bedtime, talking to God everyday becomes a habit when it's part of a family's regular schedule.

The other approach to family worship is the "drop in" method. For families who thrive on spontaneity this may be a realistic and rewarding way to work worship into daily activities. As you search for a missing shoe, you can tell the parable of the lost coin. As you plant the garden you can share the parable of the sower how the self-life must die like a seed in the ground in order for the fruit of God's character to grow in our lives.

However it's done, God can become the center of the human heart when he is made the center of the family life.

A PRAYER FOR MARRIAGES

These are the three things that remain- faith, hope, and love- and the greatest of these is love.-1 Corinthians 13:13


Faith, Hope and Love are so important in the marriage relationship. I am first to know that GOD can restore love, trust, and security in a marriage. Before William and I were saved we were just ridiculous...plain and simple. Satan the liar had our marriage so wrapped around his little finger, and we fell for every trap. Thanks be to my God for coming in and changing all that, seriously things in our marriage were restored to where we were in love with each other and more importantly we were to in love with God, like never before. I felt like I had met William for the first time again and that fresh new puppy Love was right there all over again....And every day even still to this day....I keep falling in love with God.

It is never beyond repair- if you both work at it.

I know Jesus is interested in your marriage.

Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray that You will touch this husband and this wife. Mend any hearts in their hearts and restore the love they had for one another at the beginning, making it stronger then ever before.
Help them to be merciful and forgiving toward one another, preferring their mates' desires above their own. I rebuke you Satan, and I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to take your hands off this couple and this family. I believe that any healing that needs to take place in their home begins now, in Jesus' name. Amen.

it's late I can't sleep came aross this and I had to post it!!!

OH HOW I CAN'T WAIT FOR AUTUMN

I have never ever liked summer....I think it is the worst season ever to have to suffer through. I thought by us going to California, it would be a good different change I had imagined it cool, breezy, cloudy.......NO it was Hot , clear, not a cloud in the sky and the only breeze we got was going on a fast ride. Thank my God that California adventure had the brilliance of creating a replica of a Bug's life and had a water themed park where you could get soaked at the the chance......Well all 6 of us took that chance. the kids were wet from head to toe, and with in 30 minutes were completely dry.

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. -Ecclesiastes 3:1

I am looking forward to the day(which I count because we live in Arizona) where we don't have to run our cooler all day long and the heater is on full blast, when we return home and run to the door to come in to our cozy warm home and heat up a cup of something warm. Where all 3 pecan trees in my back yard has a rain shower of leaves and before it gets to dark we go outside for a nice fire and marshmallow roasts......OOH sweet heaven now that's the kind of season I am looking forward to.

I can't stress how important it is to read the Word of God. Thanks to the blogging world I have met some wonderful people.....some with the same values and belief's that I have and some who say they have the same belief's and values as I have.......nonbeliever's.........LDS....mother's just in general who love to be mother's.

Little friendships start but my mind always wonder's......it is OK to do what I am doing?

In a few day's shy of it being a month, I have a blog that I love to read every morning, this woman is a wife and a mother and she loves all her duties as I. I went to her blog to find out that her and her husband were in a plain crash, she sustained 80% of her body badly burned, and her husband was about 30% burned, they have been in a medical coma since the crash, they have 4 young children, who's family is taken care of them right now.

Situation is they are LDS, I pray for them all the time ...but I cant hep but Wonder and I even had this run throw my mind a few times..."Lord ow do I pray for them, they don't believe in the same god that I do".

I often think..."They have no idea what my God can do only if they were set free and really know the truth"?

I pray that they have a rapid recovery, but I also pray that when the come out of their coma, that someone who is saved, and knows the true word of God reaches their hearts. So they to can be set free.

READ GOD'S INSTRUCTION BOOK

Every young man who listens to me and obeys my instructions will be given wisdom and good sense. - Proverbs 2:1


When you purchase something new-a dishwasher, a stove, a T.V., a vacuum cleaner, or even a new car-you receive an instruction book that tells you how to operate it. You don't have to read the instructions that come with the product, but when you do, you'll have a better understanding about all the features. And you;ll know what to do when something goes wrong.

The Bible is an instruction book, and it is one book that we can't afford NOT to read. The instruction's on God's Word told me how to be saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, God's Grace and Wonderful Forgiveness, healing and anything else we have questions about. When anyone including me is sick, the first thing we do as a family is lay hands on each other and pray, there is no rushing to the doctor, or pushing the medication, we believe in the power of prayer first, I go to the back of my bible find all the scriptures that do with healing or sickness and read the, after all it is the best instruction Manuel of all time. The Word continues to instruct me on how to have joy and live a happy life.

Once you've read the direction's that come with you new car, you rarely have to read them again. But that's not true with God's word. You need to read God's instruction book everyday, because you will find something new that you hadn't noticed before.You'll learn to apply it to all the situations you face in life and gain victory over circumstances that completely baffle those who don't have a close relationship with God.

My Father I love Your Word. It is filled with wisdom and instruction for my life and I need your guidance everyday. I commit to You now to set aside time each day to read and meditate on your word.

CHOOSE LIFE

"I call heaven and earth to witness against you that today I have set before you life or death, blessing or curse. Oh, that you would choose life; that you and your children might live." - Deuteronomy 30:19

This scripture says that we have a choice to live to die..... to be blessed or to be cursed... to serve God or not to serve Him. God wants us to enjoy the good life He made possible for us, but we are the one's who must make the choice. Deciding not to serve Him can cause us a lot of trouble. But if we do choose to serve Him, we receive wonderful benefits. Verse 20 says "Choose to love the Lord your God and to obey Him and to cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your day's." So if you want to live a long life, make a quality decision-choose to serve God, obey Him, and cling to Him. You'll be glad you did!

OH, God I thank You that You came to give me life, and I choose this day to serve You, love You and obey You and cling to You. I know that you are my life and the length of my days- and I choose the abundant life You provided for me.

CHILDREN NEED TO BE SAVED

It is such a Blessing for us to know that our simple and profound message of Jesus' love reaches the hearts of God's children. Our oldest son is 5, one night while we were laying in bed together we say our night prayer, he has is own little bible for me to read to him so he gets the idea of the bible, he stricked this conversation up about God and tells me what he learns in Sunday school (and to think I thought he didn't pay attention, he so proved me wrong). That night together he asked Jesus into his heart, I beamed with pride.

There are times when I am around the house cleaning doing whatever,I start to just sing, some Jeremy Camp, church songs, or I put it on our T.V. christian station and listen to that, I love to hear my kids sing praise to the Lord, I Love knowing the fact that they know no filthy worldly songs,(OK I am guilty I have let them watch Camp Rock so much they know those songs).

This morning as I was dropping Aidan off at school he was going to the van singing "I am a friend of God, I am a friend of God ,...He calls me friend......we heard this 2 weeks ago on T.V. and he sings it almost daily!

I am so glad to know my kids know Jesus as this early age that they both are. We never hesitate to tell our children about Jesus- His Love for them, His sacrifice for their eternal lives, and the we will have to spend eternity in Heaven.

Knowing Jesus at an early age can help to prevent them from making many of the mistakes we parents have made.

Father, I desire that my children be saved and have the opportunity to spend eternity with you in heaven. O Lord, I lift up my children to You today. I pray that You will give then understanding hearts as I explain their need for salvation. help me to live a godly life before them. I entrust our home to you Jesus' name.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUSBAND

Happy Birthday Darling, This morning as I heard you creep in the door after you came home from work, a smile came across my face...."My Honey is Home...."snuggle"time"! I Thank God for giving you another year as a Healthy Wonderful Man of God, and a wonderful provider that you are.

May God Bless you life Darling for many more wonderful years, and we get to be hand in hand serving our Savior together as a family.

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO COME TO GOD

I ask that you ponder this scripture in Isaiah in your heart ans mind. Perhaps you have come close to giving your heart 100% to God, but because of the cares of the world-pleasures, your job, or some other reasons- you haven't. You know about God, but you've never made a full, personal commitment to Him.

It's never to late. No matter how young or old we are, the Lord still waits for us to come to Him. This is an urgent message. God is still waiting. Take your step today. If you have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, share Him with someone in your life who doesn't know him.

Get down to business with God. You can settle once and for all where you will spend eternity.


Lord, I appreciate Your patience with me. I realize from the scriptures that You have been waiting on me to come to You. So today I give You my heart afresh and anew. You care for me and want to demonstrate Your great love for me.
