Being a Housewife
When there are times like recently when I run into people I have either int he past worked with or I went to school with, I often get asked..."So what do you do now?"
My response....with a grin because I love what I do..."I stay Home with the kid's and take care of my family."
I get the raised eyebrows and an"OH" which can either mean two things, they are thinking "It must be nice not to have to work." OR "Glad I don't' do that."
People think it's easy to be a STAY AT HOME MOM and at times it does have it's perks, but people really don't understand what I myself have given up in order to do that...
I had (have) goals to some day want to finish.
I hardly ever get alone time....I hear some woman in line at the market bragging about being able to go to the bar while the kids are at grandmas house.....I would never dream of doing that by big thrill would taking a 20 min. shower.
I never get call in day's when I get sick....
I have needs and item I would love to buy, but my Hubby and kids come before myself.....that's just the way it is no questions asked, even when the Hubby pleads with me to go get something for myself......I usually end up with a basket full of boy stuff.
I don't think I have ever had a meal to myself, even if we all have the same thing I guess mine just looks better.
My day starts at 5:50 and ends at about 11, with a small break if I am lucky and the kids actually do nap.....not often but I am hopeful.
I work Holiday's and weekend's even on vacations laundry has to be done and ironing.I am on call 24-7-365.
I can accomplish about 5 different task's in a day , have a brother fight around the clock get breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner made along with a nice little treat called dessert. I can iron with the best of them, while I boil something and still be able to answer all call's.....
What do you think multi talented??

The label that I gladly carry is........
*wife
*mama
*cook
*nurse
*housekeeper
*personal driver
*plumber and electrician(don't ask)
*inventor(for those last minute science projects)thanks sister
*teacher
and lastly motivator.
I wear my apron proudly as a House wife and I wouldn't change it for the world, because my goals will always be there waiting for me to finish, but every moment I miss I can't rewind, once they are gone they are gone.
So I may not have some fancy smanchy job like other's but the benefits are remarkable.

The "D" word that doesnt spell out Danger
I have been an avid watcher of Jon and Kate since day one, and I have to admit that I am terribly sad that they are divorcing. I come from my parents being divorced, and I don't believe in it. I believe that a marriage can be healed, but only if God is the center of the relationship.
I have had my fair share of a unhealthy marriage myself in the past, and everything didnt come together on our own it came together with God being the glue. William and I have been together nearly 9 years and I know that I am deeply inlove with the hubby, because God renewed our love for eachother. I am seriously and happily in love with not only my God but also my Husband.
It really does break my heart to know that this marriage is over, I see reruns and it makes my heart sink to see then "back in the day". It is aweful to read, see and hear about how it all came out.....

Happy Daddy Day Hubby

I am a Thinker....
I think alot!
Which is probably a good thing, but when my Hubby hears about the things that I am thinking, I know for a fact he is thinking "How much is going to cost" or "Is it something I am going to have to do alone".
At night before I go to bed laying there, my mind starts to drift...at the present time it thinks about our trip in December...blah, blah blah, or what on earth am I making for dinner tomarrow night or are Jon and Kate really going to get a divorce?
But I also think ahead........
like by this time next year will we be making constructional additions to our home along with baby additions also. I am having an itch for another baby...but a girl! Usually I can get rid of the itch just as fast as I got it....but not this time.......it's been up for discussion lately.......alot!
I think about......
Gabriel going into school next year, will we even be here next year with the way the world is going?
Does God have a man made in his image waiting just to marry my beautiful sister?
Sometimes they are harmless, harmless meaningless things like are we ever going to be able to grow grass in the front yard?
Will I ever get my garden ready?
It's no wonder I dont get a full 8 hours of sleep because my mind is literelly on the go all the time even when I sleep! Now I know why by 2 in the afternoon I am soo tired!!!
*yawn* *yawn* and its only 8:10 in the morning!

Could of, Should of, Would of.
I Could have stayed home today and watch my T.V. shows. I should have styed home and did more laundry and vaccuming and dusting and cleaning the bathroom, and I would have too but at the same time I didnt want to, instead I put the day on pause for tomarrow, (because honestly that's what Saurdays are for) and took the boys for a free viewing of Over the Hedge, though I have seen is a gazillion times the boys love it. So there we sat with our popcorn, sodas (oh yeah I went all out and let them have a soda at 10 in the morning), and eyes glued to the screen about 30 minutes into the movie all I could think about is ..."When I get home where am i going to start".
The outcome............Nowwhere............I have the Hubby off then, a whole day to clean everything and everywhere...........but today its about the kids!!!!!!!
But lo and behold the image above will be me tomarrow.......but it was well worth it.

We call it monkey bread
I have been wanting the recipe for ages now. I finally got it. The recipe/intructions on how to make money bread...pull apart bread.....what ever it is called i got it and made it. It didnt' last more then an hour in my house I made it at lunch time for the boys trying to save some for Hubby when he came home.
No such luck the kiddos gobbled it right up. The second batch was made for after dinner time, it hit everyones lips at about the time I hade the dinner cooking in the oven, it didnt last then either, so I know it was a success.
It however will now become a traditional eatery for Holidays or requests.
I am backed up until Christmas time......I am glad it is easy and way way cheap to make.
UPDATE: The Hubby came back from the doctor with no problems, God has healed him.

Whats your character?
Here is the definition of our Character's.
We do have this in our house, was on the fridge but once removed to avoid finger prints and the riped. It is very important in our home to have a character that is pleasing to God.
Though we are all NOT perfect, and we have our moments we are sure to ask for forgivness.
I know today is a short post but I have some praying to do the Hubby has a doc. appointment.
Be back with a full report tomarrow!

You know its Monday when............
"Ring, Ring" at a bright and early time this morning (6:13)the phone rang, I was in la la land but once I heard the phone ring I jumped about 12 inches and it was my sister. I received a wonderful "Good Morning Sister", then before a word hit my lips to reply back I felt it......the pounding of a morning headache. The first thing I said was "Please Lord take it away".
With our conversation in heave, we talked until my poor old phone started to die. Charged that baby up read my bible and devotionals and prayed sat here at the computer thinking to myself.
"It's Monday.........laundry, room cleaning, chores, chores, chores.
Monday is my first day of every week I have a hard kick start in the morning, but once I am out of that mode there is no stopping me.
Isn't it wonderful to know that when you call out the name of God he is there? I will admit that there are time's I talk to the Father as if he is sitting on my kitchen stool with me enjoying the day. i do however get the "Mom who are you talking too" question, but I earnestly reply..."Jesus".
There is no one else better to talk to the Father. For some reason my day goes by smoother, and more pleasant, so in ending this post for today, I have some chores and tea time with the Father sometime today...would you care to join?

Did I mention I am a teacher
Simple Pleasures....and I mean Simple
I have said this many times before that I lead a simple and satisfying life. I am a woman of simple pleasures, if asked to choose between a diamond something or a household item......... all I have to say is make it a Kenmore.... a Bissel.....or anything red..so basically the household item. I get my thrill to go to Wal-mart and look at the new dishes and bowls and thing for the house.
So last night when my Aidan was at church sitting next to me, his simple little prayer was nothing at all for a selfish gain...he didn't pray for money, or a toy and anything.
His prayer was simple and from the heart......all he asked was for God to help him to be a good boy and to help him not to disobey his parents.....along with he asked God to protect his people, and he told God he loved him with all his heart.
It was Simple.....Loving....for for me satisfying, because when you hear that, you know as parents we are doing something right.
With requests like that it also shows that he is listening to the sermon and in Sunday school.

My boy was caught.......Barbie and all.
Lately we have been having my niece Christina come over and she loves to play and the boys love to play along with her, I am not to sure how this came about, maybe she just got tired of playing with the boys toys and wanted them to do things her way......that's my girl.....
So after realizing it is pretty quite no yelling or some one running in to tell on the other and I have my camera close by..just in case and I happen to fall upon this
Both of my boys sitting nicely in the living room playing what else Barbies! Now for a nano second I was concerned, then I thought why...I am not going to be one of those mothers who doesn't let them play with dolls and such.....So there you have it both of my boys sitting there with their cousin enjoy a nice beauty shop hour with Barbie.....let me just add that at this point I have never seen them play so nicely with each other. If this is what it takes to have play together and get along I will be happy to buy each of them their own Barbies!!!

The first of Many
We had a visitor last week............
The "Tooth Fairy" made her appearance...saw one look at Aidans tooth , loved it , took it and let him a couple bucks and a toy in place of it.
He handled it like a true champ............after it was out and he was crying/screaming/laughing, he was just as much a ball of emotionals as his mother was that day......because it now makes it official...........he's really growing up!!!!
